God has a greater plan

It’s late at night and I’m sitting here
in my favorite reclining chair
in pajamas with uncombed hair
unshaven, and not looking so pretty
trying to find the words to sound witty

Each night as I sit here in my comfy chair
the words seem to find their way to me
as though somehow, it was meant to be

A clever man, I don’t know that I am
but God has a greater plan
as he is the author behind the scenes
who has provided me with the means
to motivate and inspire those who may need
providing they’re ready, and willing to read
