God has a Greater Plan

Each night as I sit in my favorite chair,
in my pajamas with uncombed hair,
unshaven, and not looking so pretty,
trying to find the words to sound witty.

As my mind wanders, I begin to see,
philosophy in rhythm comes to me
as though that’s how it's meant to be.

A clever man I don’t know that I am,
but God has a greater plan,
as he is the author behind the scenes,
who has given me the means
to motivate and inspire those who may need,
providing they’re ready and willing to read.
